College Football National Championship: The Favorites

After spending most of last season atop the odds board before narrowly missing the playoff, Georgia is back as the favorites this season

Carson Beck, the second-favorite Heisman Trophy candidate at FanDuel, returns for the Bulldogs in his second season as a full-time starter in Athens.

In the sixth season under Ryan Day, Ohio State is the second-favorite as the Buckeyes look to secure their first title in a decade.

They were quite active in the transfer portal this offseason in their attempt to return to the College Football Playoff.

Oregon, who despite so much recent success is seeking its first national championship in school history, rounds out the top three.

Betting on College Football?

The Ducks have a new quarterback leading the way in former Oklahoma star Dillon Gabriel.

After going 12-2 in 2023, its best season in 14 years, Texas is the only other team with odds better than 10/1. The Longhorns retained star quarterback Quinn Ewers this offseason.

Alabama remains one of the top contenders for the title despite legendary coach Nick Saban’s departure, with former Washington coach Kalen DeBoer now leading the team.

The Lane Kiffin-led Ole Miss Rebels are right alongside the Crimson Tide with the sixth-best odds at +1400.

Defending champion Michigan will look to win its second straight title in the first season of the post-Jim Harbaugh era but has 30/1 odds.
