Bobby Bones has waltzed into the chat.
The 44-year-old responded after Julianne Hough and Mickey Guyton dubbed him the person they didn’t feel should have won “Dancing With the Stars” while on “Watch What Happens Live” Sunday.
“What happens when they announce a new season of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ is all these articles come out about me being the worst dancer in the history of the show,” Bones told fans in a Monday Instagram video. “And Andy Cohen on ‘Watch What Happens Live’ had Julianne Hough on.”
“And I’ve met her a couple times, I don’t know if she remembers me or not,” he added. “She’s awesome. Julianne Hough, no slander from me.”
But the radio host did have a bone to pick with Cohen’s second guest of the night.
“But they asked Julianne Hough who was the worst ever,” Bones explained. “She was being a bit diplomatic and Mickey Guyton, of all people, was like, ‘Bobby Bones.’ And so, Julianne was like, ‘Yeah.’”
It turns out that the television personality doesn’t disagree.
“I was the worst dancer,” Bones shouted. “I take pride in that. Now, I tried as hard as anyone in the history of the show but I can’t dance now. I couldn’t dance then.”
“But you know who took down the big evil empire of dance? Well, it’s not evil or an empire,” he continued. “But me and you! We did it together. I’m the greatest champion ever. I didn’t say I was the greatest dancer, but I’m the greatest champion ever because I’m the man of the people. I’m the man you guys selected!”
“But Mickey Guyton? What the? Julianne Hough, you’re cool,” Bones stated before explaining he heard the news from listening to “The Toast” podcast.
“Shout out to my Oshry friends, love them too,” he said. “So everybody involved here, Julianne Hough, you’re awesome. Oshrys from ‘The Toast’ and Andy Cohen, you’re cool. Mickey? Everybody else, what’s up? Champ’s back. I’m not back, but I love the show. Love everybody on ‘Dancing With the Stars.’ I’m a terrible dancer,” Bones reiterated. “I was a terrible dancer, but they changed the rules after I left because the fan vote was so good.”

On Sunday night, Cohen asked Hough to name the celebrity who she “strongly disagreed” with winning the competition series.
When the 36-year-old hesitated to answer, Guyton, 41, muttered a name under her breath.
“Oh! I think she has an answer for that,” Hough quipped before the country music star shared her response: “I said Bobby Bones.”
Meanwhile, the performer was quick to co-sign her comments while noting that the voters at home have a strong say in the outcome.
“Yeah, I actually agree with you!” said Hough. “And I think it’s because of the fanbase, right? It’s all about the fanbase on that show.”
“He was not the best dancer, I agree,” the pro added.
But Guyton also acknowledged that “people love” the radio host, which Hough also agreed with.
Even Cohen admitted he couldn’t remember who came in second on Bones’ “DWTS” season.
Bones and his partner Sharna Burgess took home the mirrorball trophy on Season 27 in 2018, with Disney Channel star Milo Manheim and his partner Witney Carson placing second.
Throughout the season, Bones continued to receive low scores from judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli.
As Bones admitted in his Instagram clip, he still came out a winner thanks to a major boost from the fan votes.
Following the “American Idol” mentor’s controversial victory, the show introduced the “judges’ save” to prevent talented celebrity dancers from leaving the competition early.
“I do know that we have made some adjustments to the judging because we got a lot of complaints,” Inaba admitted to “Entertainment Tonight” in 2019.
She added that the series made the changes because “we listened to what everybody said about what happened last year.”
And that wasn’t the only change that Season 28 saw. Burgess, 39, was not invited back to compete after scoring the victory with Bones.
Bones told “ET” he was “shocked” to hear the news that his partner was excluded.
“I think all of us were a little stunned by it,” he shared. “Now why [she was cut], I don’t really know. I don’t even know if they’ve told her.”
Bones continued, “She had been there the longest and was one of the more popular ones, so it could have been a budget thing. I’m not really quite sure how that happened but everyone was shocked by it.”
Meanwhile, the former mirrorball champion also weighed in on Season 32 of “DWTS” this past year when contestant Harry Jowsey was in a similar situation.
Jowsey’s pro dancing partner was Rylee Arnold, but the “Too Hot to Handle” alum had never danced before. Despite receiving back-to-back low scores from the judges, he stayed in the competition for weeks thanks to his huge fanbase.
Bones told Page Six he was rooting for Jowsey and Arnold and even recorded a special video message for the reality star and his partner.
“It’s championship time, baby, let’s go! I’ve been watching, I’ve been following you, I’ve been rooting for ya,” he said to the dance duo. “I’m seeing you get some slack online and, yeah, welcome to the club, buddy. People hate us, ’cause they ain’t us, and they don’t work like we do.”
Bones noted that he “never had an ounce of dance training” before he signed on to the ABC hit show but worked hard in rehearsals and “respected” the craft.
“Keep up the good work, because that’s what it is — work. It’s not where you start, it’s where you end,” he continued. “And yeah, sure, the obnoxious, loud ‘DWTS’ superfan might be anti-Harry, but the person that’s watching at home relates to Harry, just like they related to me.”
Bones concluded: “Go get that championship, buddy! Good luck.”
“DWTS” is set to return for Season 33 on Sept. 17.
