Rich Homie Quan has died at 34 years old.

The platinum-selling rapper passed away suddenly in his Atlanta home, according to his family and a spokesperson for the Fulton County morgue, who confirmed the news to TMZ on Thursday.

Rapper Boosie Badazz claimed the musician allegedly overdosed; however, the cause of death has not been confirmed at this time.

“JUST GOT WORD @RichHomieQuan JUST OD ‼️JUST TALK TO WUAN THE OTHER DAY,” Boosie posted on X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday morning.

He followed it up with several tweets.

“JUST TALKED TO YOU BRA,” Boosie shared. “Never go forget yo smile n the way talked n of course yo music.”

He also claimed the two had been working on something together.

“WE GOT SOME GOOD ASS MEMORIES TOGETHER N THAT GO ALWAYS BRING A SMILE TO MY FACE #restupquan WE WAS COOKING UP SOME S–T TOO,” he wrote.

Rich Homie Quan’s family told TMZ that they are heartbroken and shattered by his unexpected death.

The rapper’s real name was Dequantes Lamar. He burst onto the mainstream hip-hop scene in 2013 with his instant hit, “Type of Way.” The single peaked at no. 50 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Other fan-favorite songs included his 2015 hits “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)” and “Ride Out.”

Rich Homie Quan frequently collaborated with Atlanta rappers 2 Chainz and Jacquees and joined Young Thug on the Cash Money Records project, “Rich Gang.”

Tributes immediately started pouring in following the news of Rich Homie Quan’s death.

Adam Grandmaison, known as Adam22 of the podcast “No Jumper,” shared a photo of the late rapper and wrote, “RIP Rich Homie Quan” while including a white dove emoji.
