The Nationals decided to take on all of New York.

After defeating the Mets 7-1 on Saturday night, the Nationals’ official Twitter account called out the Empire State Building’s official account to change its colors.

The building has a tradition of matching its colors to current events, including the colors of New York’s sports teams after big wins.

“Hey @EmpireStateBldg, if it’s easier click New York Giants colors and that will do,” the post read.

The Empire State Building, however, responded in perfect New York fashion.

“I have twice as many floors as you do wins,” the building’s official account clapped back.

The roast didn’t help the Mets on Sunday though, falling again 7-1 to Washington to drop the series.

Still, the Nationals own MLB’s worst record at 46-87. The Empire State Building, conversely, is listed as having 102 floors.
