The NFL is back, and the fan brawls were ratcheted up on Sunday.
One particularly ugly fight happened in the concourse at SoFi Stadium outside Los Angeles, where the Chargers defeated the Raiders in an AFC West rivalry matchup.
In this fight, you can see one man taking on all comers. He knocked one man down, and then hit another who was already on the ground.
At that point, a woman came in to the scrum, and the man punched her in the face with a left.
There were fan fights all over the league on Sunday.
At Ford Field in Detroit, there were multiple fights both in and out of the stadium and on the streets for a game between the Lions and Eagles. In one of the scuffles, there was a Lions fan who suffered a bloody nose.
There was also a food fight in Nashville where the Titans were hosting the Giants, and a melee at AT&T Stadium where the Cowboys played the Buccaneers.
It’s unclear if there are more fights than there used to be at NFL stadiums, or we just learn more about them because of camera phones and social media. Nevertheless, the latter have been around for a decade now, but it sure feels like the frequency of finding out about these brawls is picking up.
