The last time the Broncos were on national television, they treated us to one of the worst games in recent memory. What can we expect when they face the Chargers in this division clash?

Here are three of our favorite prop bets to target at BetMGM ahead of Monday night:

Monday Night Football player props

Russell Wilson longest completion Over 37.5 passing yards (-115)

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: regardless of how Wilson is playing, expect him to air it out.

Wilson’s struggles in his Broncos tenure hasn’t dampened his enthusiasm for the long ball, which was his bread and butter in 10 years in Seattle. The nine-time Pro Bowl passer has already completed a pass of 50-plus yards in three of five games this year, and his longest completion in the other two were 34 and 35 yards, respectively. ‘

Over his past 35 games, Wilson has completed a pass of at least 37 yards in 23 of them, and this offense needs a spark in a must-win spot against its division rival. Whether Wilson struggles overall or not, he’ll almost certainly test his luck deep at least once or twice.

Justin Herbert Under 1.5 passing touchdowns (+110)

This isn’t an indictment of Herbert, who remains one of the best passers in football in just his third season. But we simply haven’t seen the same usage from the Chargers quarterback since he suffered a rib injury in Week 2.

Over the past three weeks, he’s thrown a combined four touchdowns, with his only multi-TD day coming against the lowly Texans defense. He completed a season-low 22 passes in last week’s win over the Browns, instead leaning on a dominant run game to carry the way.

The Broncos have one of the best pass defenses in the NFL ahead of this one, so don’t be surprised if Los Angeles follows a similar strategy in this one and limits Herbert’s duties — even if just a little. That should be enough to cash this prop at plus money.

Austin Ekeler Over 60.5 rushing yards (-110)

Coming off arguably the best game of his career, Ekeler is primed for a huge day on Monday with what should be a sizable workload.

The Chargers’ do-it-all back rushed for a career-high 173 yards in last week’s win over the Browns, whose defense has consistently struggled to stop the rush. The same can be said for the Broncos, who enter Week 6 ranked second in pass defense DVOA and 15th in rush defense DVOA.

It’s not like last week was a fluke: Ekeler rushed for 60 yards the week before, and he ran for 58 yards in his last meeting with Denver. I’d expect him to surpass both of those totals on Monday.
