The celebrations kept on rolling for Simone Biles and boyfriend Jonathan Owens on Monday following his massive game with the Texans over the weekend.
In a new Instagram Story, the Olympic gymnast, 24, revealed that the couple enjoyed a date night after Owens, a defensive back for the Texans, logged his first career interception in Sunday’s win against the Chargers. The 26-year-old NFL pro also had a fumble recovery in the game.
Earlier Monday, Biles also lauded Owens’ career milestones in an Instagram post, which featured the couple embracing on game day.
“I’m so proud of you, watching you get your first NFL interception & fumble recovery was a dream! all the hard work is paying off & this is just the beginning! I love you @jowens_3,” Biles captioned the post. “Forever cheering loud and proud for #36.”
Owens, who was promoted to the Texans’ active roster earlier this month, replied: “Thank you baby, so happy you could be there.”
Biles could hardly contain her excitement on Sunday when she got to see Owens in action at NRG Stadium, smiling and cheering in the stands.
“When @jowens_3 gets a pick stop playing with him,” the seven-time Olympic medalist wrote in an Instagram Story.
Owens, an undrafted free agent in 2018, originally signed with the Cardinals before he was waived by the team a year later. He was signed to the Texans’ practice squad in September 2019.
Biles and Owens made their relationship Instagram official in August 2020.
