Just five months before skidding into a gate in wet weather, Dick Van Dyke wished for it to rain.

The “Mary Poppins” star was heard in October lamenting about the Los Angeles drought.

“Is it ever going to rain?” asked Van Dyke, 97, as he backed his Lexus out of a parking spot in a video obtained by The Post.

The beloved performer’s sentiments were an eerie foreshadowing of his unfortunate driving mishap Wednesday when he skidded on a wet road and crashed his car into a gate in Malibu.

Paramedics treated the veteran actor, who sustained a potential concussion and a bloody mouth and nose, at the scene.

While drugs and alcohol are not believed to be involved, the officers reportedly requested that Van Dyke retake his driving test with the California Department of Motor Vehicles.

When he was spotted paying a visit to his favorite nonprofit organization and giving out money to the homeless in October, he was pictured in the same car that was involved in Wednesday’s accident.

The Post has reached out to Van Dyke’s representatives for comment.

His latest bump in the road, however, seems minor compared to a large car fire Van Dyke was involved in a decade ago.

In 2013, the onscreen star was pulled from an inferno that engulfed his Jaguar while cruising down the freeway.

While driving, the actor noticed smoke billowing from his car and promptly pulled over.

A good Samaritan pulled him from the vehicle just before it burst into flames.

“It just started making a noise, and I thought I had a flat at first, then it started to smoke, then it burned to a crisp,” he told TMZ at the time.

Despite his recent accident, Van Dyke still seems in high spirits given his frail appearance.

In February, he appeared in Season 9 of “The Masked Singer” as the “Gnome,” which has been hailed as the “greatest reveal ever.”

His performance was just one of a few public appearances the aging star has made in recent years.

In June 2022, he was spotted leaving lunch with his pals, telling onlookers he was “just glad to still be here.”
