What, him worry?

Raiders coach Josh McDaniels didn’t seem too concerned with reports that his new QB Jimmy Garoppolo might miss the start of the season.

“I have no anxiety,” McDaniels said. “You guys may have anxiety. I have no anxiety.”

Garoppolo has yet to practice with Las Vegas after undergoing surgery on his left foot, with the procedure coming after he inked a three-year, $72.75 million free agent deal this offseason.

“I’m not going to put a timeline on it or a day or anything,” McDaniels said. “But like I said, I have no anxiety. Feel pretty good about it.”

The 31-year-old quarterback’s contract came with a waiver/release in place of a physical, due to the foot injury suffered last season with the 49ers.

The reported structure of the deal also means the Raiders can release him if he can’t pass a physical before the season begins.

Not that McDaniels believes it’ll come to that.

“I don’t worry about the things I can’t control,” he said. “I have very good information that tells me that we’re going to be fine, you know what I mean? So again, nothing has happened that would’ve changed that, so that’s why I feel that way.”

For Garoppolo, the move to Las Vegas represents the first time he’ll be an unquestioned starter in the league after being drafted by the Patriots in 2013.

Reuniting with McDaniels, his offensive coordinator with the Patriots, could be a boon for both sides — as could having Tom Brady, Garoppolo’s former mentor and a soon-to-be minority Raiders owners, around.

If Garoppolo isn’t ready to go for the start of the season, veteran Brian Hoyer — another ex-Patriot — is the likely starter ahead of Chase Garbers, and rookie Aidan O’Connell.
