Don’t underestimate the power of a K-Pop star.

Got7 member BamBam appears to have played a part in Andrew Wiggins earning his first starter selection for the NBA All-Star game.

He will join fellow starters in the west, LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Ja Morant and Nikola Jokić in Cleveland on Feb. 20.

Earlier this month, the K-pop singer asked his 9 million Twitter followers to vote for the Warriors star, writing, “he deserves to be an All-Star.”

BamBam described Wiggins as “one of the best two-way players” in his tweet, which has tallied 68,000 likes, 36,000 retweets and counting.

Last month, BamBam told his 15.5 Instagram followers that he was named a global ambassador for the Warriors and would be engaging with Golden State fans throughout the season.

K-Pop fans are known as one of the most loyal fan bases in music, so their presumed influence on the All-Star voting was no surprise to some.

And BamBam’s endorsement clearly paid off, as Wiggins earned the third-highest fan votes [3.45 million] among front-court players in the Western Conference. He finished with 46 votes from the players and four votes from the media.

The fan vote accounts for 50 percent of the total vote to determine the starters for the NBA All-Star Game, with active players and media members accounting for the other 50 percent.

Wiggins, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, is having a career year, averaging 18 points, four rebounds, and two assists per game.

The All-Star reserves will be announced on Feb. 3.
