Sky News host James Morrow says there were incredible scenes in New York City as “thousands and thousands” of police officers lined 5th Avenue to honour 22-year-old officer Jason Rivera – who was murdered alongside his partner.

It comes as officers Wilbert Mora and Jason Rivera were killed in an ambush in a Harlem apartment last week.

Mr Morrow said Mr Rivera’s widow’s eulogy at a funeral held at St Patrick’s Cathedral was “powerful stuff”.

“The widow gave an incredibly powerful eulogy against … the way her husband’s death has been talked about because they’ve blamed it on the gun, not the criminal and all these sorts of lefty things,” Mr Morrow said.
