Patriots cornerback Isaiah Bolden has been released from a Green Bay hospital and will travel with the team back to Massachusetts, the team announced Sunday morning.

Bolden, a seventh-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, had to be carted off and transported to a hospital after a collision with a teammate in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s road preseason game against the Packers.

The two teams mutually agreed to end the game early following the scary injury.

In a positive sign, the rookie tweeted Sunday morning his appreciation for the support he’s received.

“Appreciate the prayers more excited to be back with the guys,” Bolden tweeted.

Due to Saturday’s frightening situation, the Patriots also announced that the scheduled joint practices Tuesday and Wednesday in Tennessee with the Titans in preparation for Friday’s third preseason game are “canceled.”

Instead, the team plans to practice in Foxborough and then fly to Nashville on Thursday.

The Patriots had originally planned to fly to Nashville on Sunday, according to ESPN, but the release said the team headed back to Foxborough on Sunday “due to the circumstances surrounding the abrupt and unexpected ending to (Saturday) night’s game.”

“We thank the medical staff at Aurora Bay Medical Center for their overnight evaluations, as well as the Patriots and Packers’ medical staffs for their immediate on-field response and care in transporting Isaiah to a nearby hospital,” the Patriots said in a statement.

Bolden suffered an injury while attempting to make a tackle during the fourth quarter of Saturday’s game at Lambeau Field. As he looked to stop Green Bay receiver Malik Heath, Bolden instead collided with teammate Calvin Munson. He lay prone and then had to be carted off the field as trainers seemingly brought Bolden back to consciousness.

The Patriots reported Bolden had feelings in all of his extremities and had been taken to the hospital for further tests and observation.

The scene was similar to January when Bills cornerback Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest during a game against the Bengals and was taken to a hospital.

The Packers and Patriots then agreed to cancel the remainder of the preseason game.

“We’re all saying a prayer for Isaiah,” Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said Saturday night. “I appreciate the way the league handled it. I think that was the right thing to do.”
