Dave Portnoy is calling BS on the Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift dating rumors, which Kelce’s older brother, Eagles center Jason Kelce, joked Wednesday are “100 percent true.”
Portnoy, the Barstool Sports owner who recently bought back his company for $1 before initiating a round of layoffs, shared his thoughts on the Kelce-Swift rumors Tuesday on X, writing: “You know what? I ride with Keegs on this one. I Think Travis Kelce Is Using Taylor Swift For Clout.”
Keegs is Kelly Keegs, who writes for Barstool Sports and posted an article Tuesday slamming Kelce’s interest in the pop superstar.
“This man has done nothing but bask in the glory of all of these Taylor Swift rumors, ‘laughing about’ all of the puns made this past weekend during football,” Keegs wrote.
“‘Well played,’ he says. Yea, well played by YOU Travis, fanning the flames of these rumors when you guys probably got dinner like what, ONE time?”
Jason, 35, poured gasoline on the Swift rumors Wednesday during an appearance on WIP in Philadelphia.
“It’s hard to answer because I don’t really know a lot about Travis’ love life,” Jason sais when asked about the possible romance. “I try to keep his business kind of his business, and stay out of that world.
“But having said that, I think he’s doing great and I think it’s all 100 percent true.”
Jason quickly walked back on the comments, stating, “No I’m joking. I don’t even know what’s happening.”
Jason’s thoughts came one day after Kelce talked about dating and relationships on Kristin Cavallari’s “Let’s Be Honest” podcast.
“High maintenance, I’m out the door,” the two-time Super Bowl champ said on Tuesday’s episode.
“If you’re arrogant, snooty or just higher or above people, that’s the biggest turn-off for me.”
Kelce, an eight-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, was first linked to Swift when a report last week from The Messenger claimed the pair have “been quietly hanging out.”
Before that, Kelce revealed on an episode of the brothers’ “New Heights” podcast in July how he planned to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his number on it over the summer when he caught her “Eras Tour” in Kansas City.
