Rodgers said — or maybe joked? — that he has been motivating his quarterback replacement by sending him videos of Rodgers adopting the persona of movie characters.

During his weekly appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Rodgers said he sends “little messages every week” to Wilson.

Asked to clarify, Rodgers kept a straight face.

“Make it real dramatic,” Rodgers said on ESPN on Tuesday. “Dress up in a famous movie character outfit and give him some inspiring speech.”

Ahead of Sunday’s win over the Eagles, that apparently meant becoming an action film star with skills in martial arts.

“Last week I channeled my inner ‘Under Siege,’” Rodgers said of the 1992 movie. “Went into a really good head space of Steven Seagal as the undercover killing machine disguised as a chef. And did a combination interpretive dance/inspirational speech [of Seagal] combined with the dance moves of Britney Spears.”

Apparently a fan of ‘90s action movies, Rodgers dressed as Nicolas Cage’s character from “Con Air” when he arrived at Packers training camp last year.

Regardless of the specifics of Rodgers’ support, Wilson has made strides for the 3-3 Jets and thrown just one interception in his past four games.

He might not be carrying the team to victories, but he is not the reason for defeats.

“I really don’t deserve a ton of credit for his progression,” said Rodgers, who was on the headset on the sideline Sunday. “I think it’s been his own work ethic, his desire to improve in all areas of his life.

“I think it doesn’t hurt to have kind of an example of an older guy who’s had some success and seeing how I go about my business, I’m sure there’s been some stuff that’s rubbed off on him. But he deserves a lot of credit.”
