Selma Blair has lovingly remembered the late Matthew Perry in a sweet tribute to the actor, saying he “loved being recognized.”

The “Cruel Intentions” actress, 51, reflected on her decades-long friendship with the late “Friends” actor, who died of an apparent drowning at his home on Oct. 28 at the age of 54.

“He’s so missed, and I love that everyone loves him,” Blair told “Entertainment Tonight” at the 2023 Glamour Women of the Year Awards in New York City Tuesday.

“I know he meant so much to all of us, and he loves that. He loved being recognized.”

Blair, who briefly dated Perry during his stint as Chandler Bing on the long-running NBC series, said the pair had shared a close bond throughout the years.

“He was someone that really was [my friend], we were actively friends, you know, for 30 years,” she shared.

“We dated years ago and he really was such a comic genius in his writing and his love and his ability to care for his friends.”

“He’s so missed, and I love that everyone loves him,” she added.

When news of the beloved actor’s death came to light, “broken hearted” Blair shared a tribute on social media.

“My oldest boy friend. All of us loved Matthew Perry, and I did especially. Every day,” she captioned her Instagram post alongside a photo of her and Perry smiling in a selfie.

“I loved him unconditionally. And he me. And I’m broken. Broken hearted. Sweet dreams Matty. Sweet dreams.”

Blair famously made a cameo in “Friends” back in 2002 when she played a character named Wendy who worked with Perry’s Chandler Bing in Tulsa.

In the episode “The One With Christmas in Tulsa” in season 9 of the hit sitcom, Wendy flirts with Chandler in his company’s Oklahoma office during the holidays.

While nothing happened between the two — a storyline Perry actively avoided being written into the show — the episode brought a lot of laughs to fans of the show.

Perry was laid to rest in an intimate ceremony on November 3.
