The Jets are shaking up their front office.
The team and assistant general manager Rex Hogan have agreed to part ways, according to a source.
Hogan has been general manager Joe Douglas’ right-hand man since he was hired in June 2019.
Hogan oversaw the college and pro scouting departments and had a major role in personnel evaluation and decisions.
While the Jets have built a top-five defense, they have not had as much success on offense.
They have missed on top draft picks like Zach Wilson, Mekhi Becton, Denzel Mims and Elijah Moore.
This was Hogan’s second stint with the Jets.
He was the team’s senior director of college scouting under former GM Mike Maccagnan in 2015-16.
He spent two years as the vice president of player personnel with the Colts in 2017-18.
