“What a night” for the Astros, indeed.
One day after the Phillies shut out Houston, 7-0, in Game 3 of the World Series, the Astros bounced back Wednesday in historic fashion, throwing a combined no-hitter to secure a 5-0 victory in Game 4 and evening the series at 2-2.
Reagan Bregman, the wife of Astros third baseman Alex Bregman, savored every moment of Wednesday’s win at Citizens Bank Field in Philadelphia, where she watched among a sea of red.
“What a night,” Reagan captioned an Instagram Story of the Phillies crowd.
The 28-year-old Bregman hit a two-run double in the fifth inning to extend the Astros’ lead over the Phillies.
Game 5 of the World Series is Thursday in Philadelphia before the series shifts to Houston on Saturday for Game 6. Should a Game 7 be necessary, the Astros will host the Phillies again Sunday.
Reagan, who wed Bregman in 2020, has been supporting the Astros’ playoff push throughout the fall. Last month, when the Astros swept the Yankees in four games in the ALCS, Reagan celebrated Houston’s World Series berth by kissing Bregman on the field in The Bronx.
“World Series bound baby,” she exclaimed on Instagram at the time.
Reagan added in a separate post in October how the “playoffs are a whole lot better this year” with the addition of her son, Knox Samuel, whom she and Bregman welcomed in August.
Baby Knox attended his first game in September, to which Bregman shared, “He loved it!”
