Perhaps he needed his bear necessities.
A screaming 7-Eleven clerk in Olympic Valley, California got a closer wildlife encounter than she desired after a black bear strolled into the store and “used” the hand sanitizer station.
A clip of the critter’s bizarre convenience store stop boasts 8.1 million views on TikTok as of Tuesday morning.
“Oh my goodness, he knows how to open — heeey, stooop!” 7-Eleven employee Rachelle Ducusin, 44, can be heard screaming hysterically at the burly beast in the now-viral clip, which she uploaded to the platform on Sunday.
“Stoooop! Shhhhh. Shhhh. Get out!” she continues in a combo shew-and-shriek before bursting into a series of dramatic sobs and empty threats.
The incident began after Ducusin attempted to stop the bear from ransacking her trash cans outside, whereupon it charged her twice, Storyful reported. Thankfully, the terrified woman was able to duck into the store and dial 911 before the animal entered.
The accompanying 40-second footage shows the cinnamon-colored bruin opening the door a la the “Jurassic Park” velociraptors while Ducusin screams at it to “get out!”
Ignoring her pleas, the inquisitive critter noses the automated hand sanitizer dispenser, prompting it to squirt several drops onto its head.
From there, this wannabe Winnie continues to peruse the mart, and at one point even stands on its hind legs with its paws upon the counter — as if waiting to be served. All the while, Ducusin can be heard wailing her head off.
Fortunately, emergency services arrived and scared off the furry interloper by shooting it with rubber bullets. However, the pesky animal returned to the 7-Eleven later that morning to rummage through the garbage bins.
Perhaps Ducusin should be thankful it didn’t destroy her store shelves like this rampaging monitor lizard in Thailand.
Suffice it to say, TikTok users were amazed at the bear’s anthropomorphic behavior.
“The bear literally came in politely, held the door and sanitized, what more do you want?” said one impressed commenter at its seemingly considerate supermarket sweep.
“He just needs his bare [bear] necessities,” joked one TikTok wit while another quipped, “he opened the door with his bear hands.”
Even 7-Eleven’s official TikTok handle chimed in, punning “he wants a blue raspBEARy Slurpee.”
This isn’t the first time a bruin has been caught behaving like a human. In September, a mama bear in Asheville, North Carolina, was filmed adorably teaching her cub how to use the slide at the playground.
In a similar incident this past August, a black bear was filmed calmly strolling down the aisles of a California grocery store. That same month, another four-legged scene stealer was caught on cam swiping someone’s Amazon delivery.
Meanwhile, bears have become bona fide — albeit infamous — social media stars after a string of viral incidents of late: One “foolish” woman got jail time for playing around with a massive mama grizzly at Yellowstone National Park in October, and four-time “Fat Bear Week” winner Otis made headlines when he reclaimed his title earlier that month.
Of course, most of these viral incidents don’t result in cutesy “bear hugs,” backyard puppy play or calm daddy lectures — in fact, most end in near-tragedy or death: In the past months alone, a bicyclist managed to fight off a bear that mauled him in Alaska, a boxer is in “grave condition” after challenging one to a misguided bout and a woman was killed by a 400-pounder while camping in Montana.
