Larry David can open up a “spite store’’ in his battle with Mocha Joe on “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” but NFL teams cannot operate that way, especially when it comes to dealing with a player who might need a swift kick to get him going. Spite does not make right.
Which is why there is no sense in the Giants letting their frustrations with Kenny Golladay bury him on the bench.
It was only a year ago when the Giants and Golladay spent nearly three days together engaged in a courtship dance at the team facility, a prolonged getting-to-know-you that ultimately left both sides agreeable to a long-term relationship.
