Queen Mary of Denmark was left visibly shaken after an electric scooter knocked her to the ground during a royal engagement this week.

The royal, 52, was greeting fans in Nuuk, Greenland with her children Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine when an elderly man plowed through the crowd.

The ordeal left her panicked, and prompted her to lose balance before briefly falling to the ground.

Her security team was seen rushing to her aide immediately.

Video footage of the incident, obtained from local news outlet Ekstra Bladet, showed the Queen being struck while her two children stood just yards away from her.

The Danish royal communications office has since confirmed that Mary had not been injured.

Following the ordeal, the scooter’s driver said he “did not know what happened” to make the vehicle lose control.

A witness told Sky News Australia, “I could see how much it hurt her, her eyes watered immediately. It must hurt to be hit at that speed. The police immediately barricaded and removed her from the situation.”

Another told the outlet that he saw just “how much it hurt her” as Mary’s eyes watered “immediately.”

“It must hurt to be hit at that speed. The police immediately barricaded and removed her from the situation,” the bystander added.

Others rushed to the comments section of the clip to slam the royal’s security team, with many describing it as “lacking.”

“It’s security’s fault,” one person wrote, while another suggested that the Queen “will probably be feeling it tomorrow.”

Earlier this month, King Charles and Queen Camilla were rushed to safety at one point during their royal engagement in the Channel Islands.

The outing was cut short over safety concerns as their security team ushered them into a nearby hotel.

Personal protection officers subtly signaled to their team that the royals were to immediately leave the premises.

It’s understood that every precaution was taken after the couple’s security team discovered a “small issue of concern.”

A full background check was carried out and the King and Queen resumed their engagement shortly after it was safe for them to do so.
