Broadway was calling Yoshinobu Yamamoto, but instead he is heading to Los Angeles alongside Shohei Ohtani.

And the Dodgers are now clear World Series favorites after already declaring victory in the offseason.

Odds opened in November on BetMGM Sportsbook with the Dodgers at +800 before free agency began.

Since then, they’ve grabbed Ohtani and Yamamoto.

Their odds dropped to +550 after the Ohtani signing and have now dropped further to +400 at FanDuel.

These odds mark the lowest we have seen in the preseason since the 2017 Chicago Cubs, who were +375 to repeat after they won their first World Series since 1908.

Keep in mind, this includes Ohtani, who won’t be pitching in 2024 but maybe could return to the mound in 2025.

This rotation will now include some combination of Yamamoto, Walker Buehler, Bobby Miller, Tyler Glasnow and Emmet Sheehan/Dustin May/Ryan Yarbrough competing for the fifth starter spot.

Meanwhile, the Dodgers lineup is projected to feature Mookie Betts, Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, Will Smith, and Max Muncy.

The Dodgers are the most well-run franchises in all of baseball and the rich just keep getting richer with their two signings of Yamamoto and Ohtani.

Look for them to continue adding to their bullpen, too, as January nears.
