Kadarius Toney has visited a new team as he attempts to salvage his NFL career.

ESPN’s Field Yates reported Tuesday that Toney visited with the Seahawks.

Toney, 25, was released by Kansas City last week.

Toney was a 2021 first-round pick for the Giants, who traded him to the Chiefs in the middle of the 2022 season after frustrations with his availability and consistency.

He went on to have a big second half in the Chiefs’ 38-35 Super Bowl victory over the Eagles in February 2023.

Toney, 25, was a healthy scratch in the Chiefs’ repeat Super Bowl win in 2024, but that didn’t stop him from reveling in the aftermath.

Despite releasing Toney, Chiefs general manager Brett Veach had no regrets about trading for him in 2022.

“I don’t think we’re sitting here going for a third straight Super Bowl [championship] had we not made that trade,” Veach told reporters last week. “So, from that standpoint, we’d do it all over again in a heartbeat.”

Last season, Toney had 27 catches for 169 yards and one touchdown across 13 regular season games.

“We really liked the kid, and I know that people have different takes on Kadarius, but I know in this building he’s a bright kid, he’s a smart kid,” Veach continued. “When you look back on it, some of this stuff is a stroke of bad luck in regards to some of the injuries you can’t control. Like walking out the first day of training camp last year and tearing his [meniscus]. I mean, that was something that was just unfortunate.”

The Seahawks went 9-8 last season and missed the playoffs in the NFC.
