Stevan Ridley, a former running back for the Patriots, was arrested for disorderly conduct in Mississippi over the weekend.
According to the Natchez Democrat, Ridley was arrested at a Natchez nightclub at 1 a.m. early Sunday morning. He was released on $750 bond.
Details on the alleged incident that led to the arrest were not immediately available.
The 34-year-old Ridley grew up in Natchez before playing college football at LSU. He was drafted in the third round by the Patriots in 2011.
Ridley played four seasons for the Patriots. He later appeared in games for the Jets, Falcons and Steelers in his eight-year NFL career.
Ridley was a member of the Patriots’ Super Bowl championship team in 2014-15 (though he didn’t play in the postseason due to injury) and LSU’s national title team in 2007-08.
Ridley was not happy with the Patriots after they “trashed” him following a torn ACL in the final year of his rookie contract.
“I was trashed after an injury,” he said in 2018. “I’m just going to put it that way. I’m not going to say specifically, but to be a starter for (the Patriots) for four years, to tear my ACL and never get a call back, that’s a tough pill to swallow.”
In his NFL career, Ridley rushed the ball 743 times for 3,102 yards and 24 touchdowns in 73 regular-season games.
