The MLB World Series champion Texas Rangers were fearless road warriors.

Despite battling injuries, the Rangers were 11-0 on the road en route to a World Series win.

The clinched their first title in franchise history with a 5-0 win Wednesday in Game 5.

Shortstop Corey Seager earned MVP honors.

Texas was an underdog in all but two of those games, and bettors would have won big if they bet each Rangers road win and rolled over the amount into the next road game.

Starting with just $10, bettors would’ve won a seemingly unbelievable $39,742.92 on those 11 games — if road teams is a data point you’re interested in tracking.

If you started with $100 and continued this rollover technique, you would have won $397,429.20.

Don’t believe it? Here’s the math:

$10 bet at +142 = $24.20
$24.20 at +133 = $56.39
$56.39 at +117 = $122.37
$122.37 at -103 = $241.19
$241.19 at +123 = $537.85
$537.85 at +111 = $1,134.86
$1,134.86 at +108 = $2,360.51
$2,360.51 at +120 = $5,193.12
$5,193.12 at -110 = $9,913.67
$9,913.67 at +110 = $20,818.71
$20,818.71 at -110 = $39,742.92

Oddly enough, the Rangers were 1-4 at home throughout their postseason run.

The rollover technique is an interesting one for systems bettors in the sports betting industry who are in the all-or-nothing game.

Bettors who implore this strategy see an edge in a given system or trend and target it with one bet and rollover winnings, with the hope of winning a set amount of games and cash in big.

This is something that could be worth targeting in the NFL.

  • 1996-97 New York Yankees: 9
  • 1937-42 New York Yankees: 9
  • 2019 Washington Nationals: 8
  • 1926-32 New York Yankees: 8
