Cross Mike Sullivan’s name off the list of potential candidates for the Rangers head coaching job.

The Penguins head coach confirmed to The Post Wednesday morning that he is totally invested in the Pittsburgh organization, which in August signed Sullivan to a three-year contract extension through 2027.

“No, I am under contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins, here for the long haul,” he said over the phone.

Sullivan, a former Rangers assistant coach, has been in a supporting role on the Penguins’ search for their next general manager, which began at the conclusion of Pittsburgh’s 2022-23 season in May.

Since Gerard Gallant was dismissed from his head coaching responsibilities, Rangers fans haven’t been able to help themselves from imagining a world where Sullivan would come to New York.

The only time the Rangers will see Sullivan for the foreseeable future, however, will be on the opposing bench.

The Penguins failed to qualify for the Stanley Cup playoffs for the first time since 2006, ending the NHL’s longest postseason streak at 16 years.

Sullivan, 55, has been at the helm in Pittsburgh since he was promoted from the club’s AHL affiliate relatively early on in the 2015-16 season and led the franchise to back-to-back Stanley Cup titles in 2016 and ’17.

Sullivan has compiled a 337-187-65 record with the Penguins.
