Jamal Adams apologized Wednesday for his first-quarter sideline outburst at the independent concussion doctor assigned to Monday’s game between the Seattle and Giants.

Adams was caught on camera yelling at the “red hat” at the doctor while seemingly having to be restrained by two members of the Seahawks staff.

He was eventually taken to the Seattle locker room after the incident.

He expressed regret for the incident in a statement posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“First and foremost, I want to apologize to the OG. You did everything right when you realized I was concussed, I apologize for any negative energy I brought your way,” Adams wrote.

“Watching the replay, I am thankful for your patience knowing I wasn’t myself in that moment. You’re a real one and you serve a great purpose that benefits the NFL and so many players. Prioritizing player’s health is essential. Much respect to you!”

Adams was checked for a concussion and ruled out for the rest of the game, a 24-3 Seahawks win, after taking just nine snaps.

The Seahawks defender is now facing possible disciplinary action for the outburst by the league, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported earlier Wednesday.

“NFL is considering discipline against Seahawks’ Jamal Adams for his actions toward the independent concussion doctor appointed by the NFL and NFLPA following his concussion sideline evaluation in Monday night’s game,” Schefter posted on X, formerly Twitter.

What that punishment, if any, is not clear at this point.

Adams is also expected to be OK after the injury, head coach Pete Carroll told reporters.

Monday was Adams’ first game back in 385 days after suffering a tear in his left quad tendon during Seattle’s first game of the year in 2022.

The Seahawks have a bye week before returning to the field for a Week 6 matchup with the Bengals.
