Jay Leno has confirmed that he was burned in a gasoline fire in a new statement regarding his health status.

The former “Tonight Show” host, 72, told The Post on Monday, “I got some serious burns from a gasoline fire. I am ok. Just need a week or two to get back on my feet.”

TMZ reported the news earlier Monday, stating that the vintage car collector was in his Los Angeles garage, where one of his many automobiles suddenly burst into flames.

Sources told the outlet that the explosion severely burned the left side of Leno’s face, but did not seriously injure his eye or ear.

He was transported to the Grossman Burn Center in LA, according to the report.

Concern for Leno started on Sunday night after he did not show up to a scheduled appearance at the Financial Brand Forum 2022 in Las Vegas due to a “very serious medical emergency.”

A report from June said that Leno has over 180 vehicles in his car collection.

“His family was not able to provide us very many details, but there was a very serious medical emergency that is preventing Jay from traveling,” read an email sent to the conference’s attendees, which People obtained on Monday.

“All we know is that he is alive, so our prayers go out to him and his family tonight.”

In June, US News & World Report said Leno’s car collection included over 180 vehicles, including exotic cars, hypercars and museum-grade artifacts.

It is unclear how many of the cars were involved in the incident.

The Post has reached out to a rep for Leno for comment.
