Jessica Alba’s courtside experience at Madison Square Garden was courtesy of a certain Knicks star.
Hours after the Knicks topped the Miami Heat on Tuesday in Game 2 of their second-round playoff series, Alba, 42, posted a heartfelt thank-you note to New York forward Julius Randle, whom she called “a kind soul.”
“Congrats @nyknicks on the W! Thank you @juliusrandle30 for the invite, you are a kind soul and it was awesome watching your leadership on the court,” the actress and businesswoman gushed on Instagram.
The Knicks responded to Alba’s post with blue and orange heart emojis.
Alba got social media buzzing Tuesday during her appearance at MSG.
The mother of three, who wed film producer Cash Warren in 2008, cheered on the Knicks, who evened the series at one game apiece with their 111-105 win.
Randle, who has been married to wife Kendra since 2017, logged 25 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists.
Randle missed Game 1 of the series after aggravating an ankle injury in the Knicks’ Game 5 close-out win over the Cavaliers.
In addition to Alba, comedians Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock were spotted at The Garden on Tuesday night, as well as new Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers and his teammate, second-year cornerback Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner.
When speaking to reporters Wednesday about the outing, the 22-year-old Gardner said Rodgers, 39, ribbed him because he didn’t know who Alba is.
“When we were getting seated, [Rodgers] was just picking on me a little bit for being young,” Gardner said. “We were getting seated and he was like ‘we’re about to sit by,’ what’s her name? ‘We’re about to sit by Jessica Alba,’ and I’m just like ‘Oh, I don’t know who that is.’ And he just looked at me, he looked at me like I’m crazy.”
Gardner, who had lobbied for the Jets to bring Rodgers to New York throughout the offseason, clarified Thursday on Twitter that while he’s “seen Jessica Alba in movies before,” he “never looked on google to see what her real name is.”
Alba appeared on several TV shows during the 1990s, including “The Secret World of Alex Mack” and “Beverly Hills, 90210,” before her big break in 2000, when she starred in the sci-fi drama “Dark Angel.”
She broke out onto the film scene soon after with lead roles in “Honey,” “Fantastic Four,” “Into the Blue,” and “Sin City.”
