The NFL offseason has gotten off to a macabre start with a vicious war of words between 49ers guard Jonathan Feliciano and Eagles defensive lineman Jalen Carter.

The situation began when Feliciano blamed linemate Spencer Burford for missing a block on Chiefs pass rusher Chris Jones in Super Bowl 2024 that ended a Niners drive and forced them to settle for a field goal.

Feliciano later apologized for the remark.

“Im sorry bro. I woke up hungover and being a b–h. In trying to have ones back I hurt u,” Feliciano tweeted. “It’s f-Ed up and I apologize. You got nothing but greatness ahead of you. I’m sorry bro.”

Carter saw this news, and responded to it with some heavy allegations levied at Feliciano on his Instagram story.

“Same dude who spoke on my dead teammate and the reason I was emotional during out game smh,” Carter wrote.

Feliciano disputed Carter’s series of events.

“Dude told me he was gonna murder me and my kids would never see me again 3x because I was laughing at him after getting a flag … I said I believe you you got a body. Then he continued for weeks posting my fam n reachin out to my friends,” Feliciano wrote on X on Tuesday night.

Following Georgia’s 2023 national title, Carter was racing his Jeep Trackhawk against a Georgia football staffer when the other vehicle crashed, killing his Bulldogs teammate Devin Willock, as well as team staffer Chandler LeCroy.
