It is still a war of the Windsor women between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle.

The Princess of Wales, 41, reportedly feels “competition or resentment” toward her sister-in-law, 42, according to a relationship expert.

Louella Alderson has revealed why the two are not particularly close, and how their respective husbands, Prince William and Prince Harry, are still at odds.

Alderson told The Mirror recently that there are “clearly unresolved issues” between the “Suits” alum and Middleton.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex married in 2018 and have since moved to Montecito, California, since taking a step back from the royal family.

“Since Meghan and Harry’s relationship started, there have been several reports of tension between her and Kate,” the expert explained.

She went on: “These tensions have likely only grown between the two since Meghan and Harry’s departure from the Royal Family and their subsequent media interviews where they have made controversial statements.”

The So Syncd founder then claimed that the “underlying feelings” of resentment that Middleton could have toward Markle could stem from the “positive attention” that Harry, 39, and Markle received during their stint at the Invictus Games earlier this month.

The pair jetted off to Dusseldorf, Germany, for the Paraolympic-styled sports events where they showed off massive PDA.

The Duchess of Cambridge may also have “been feeling uncomfortable or unhappy” with the aforementioned couple being in the spotlight.

However, Alderson believes that the under-the-radar emotions from Middleton “don’t always match appearances.”

“Meghan and Kate have been played against each other in the media, with constant comparisons being made between them. This could have added pressure and tension to their relationship, especially if either of them has a competitive side,” she explained.

But Alderson has come to the conclusion that the “real rift” is actually between William, 41, and Harry, and not so much between the royal ladies.

She stated: “It’s possible [the brothers] will eventually find a way to reconcile and move past their trying issues with one another. Doing so could open the door for some sort of reunion between Kate and Meghan as well.”

Both the former actress and Middleton were not exactly great pals before their feud.

“They may be able to maintain a cordial relationship for the sake of their husbands and children, but it’s unlikely we will see them becoming best friends anytime soon,” Alderson suggested.
