Bowen Yang and Kelly Clarkson are still in shock over Taylor Swift and rumored fling Travis Kelce’s surprise “Saturday Night Live” appearance last weekend.
On Thursday’s episode of the “Kelly Clarkson Show,” the “Miss Independent” singer, 41, discussed with the comedian, 32, how the new couple’s takeover of the NFL spotlight is a little jarring.
“I heard everyone talking about it.. the Taylor and Kielce surprise [on SNL],” Clarkson said.
“It is hilarious how it is literally taking over the NFL for people [like me] who like watching sports,” the “American Idol” alum joked.
She continued to note how the sports commentators constantly talking about Swift, 33, and Kelce, 34, feels like “you’re watching the [Real] Housewives].”
“It’s like you’re watching gossip things. What about the [game] play?” she wondered.
“They’re taking over,” Clarkson laughed, alluding to the constant rumors about Swift and Kelce drowning the headlines. “But that is what I love about ‘SNL.’ Y’all touched it right then and it’s awesome that it’s live.”
Yang then interjected with how much of a shocking surprise the pair’s arrival was.
“It was so wild. We didn’t expect them to come,” he said, adding that he saw them at the NBC page desk.
“I was like ‘Oh, there’s two of the tallest people I’ve ever seen…and they are here! It was wild!” Yang gushed.
In the “SNL” cold open that was broadcasted on the Season 49 premiere, the football star appeared on the fictitious Fox “NFL Sunday” panel that discussed the chaos over his ongoing relationship troubles with the “Red” singer.
The skit teased NFL’s obsession with talking about the country star and Kelce. Swift also introduced musical guest Ice Spice at the episode’s conclusion.
An insider told The Post on Oct. 15 that the moment was jaw-dropping.
“Travis was a surprise. He and Taylor showed up right before we started,” the source said.
The “Bad Blood” crooner and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end also attended the comedy show’s afterparty at Catch Steak in New York City, where they packed on the PDA.
“Travis and Taylor seemed to really be enjoying the night, and each other, even kissing throughout the night,” a source dished Page Six.
Kelce “had his hands around the singer’s waist throughout the night.”
