Kenny Pickett and fiancée Amy Paternoster had a playful interaction on Instagram this week as the Steelers rookie quarterback continues to prepare for the upcoming season.
Paternoster, who hails from New Jersey, told her followers on Wednesday that she’s officially become a Pittsburgh resident — but is still adjusting to her new surroundings.
“Officially a resident but still need Maps to get anywhere,” Paternoster captioned the post.
Pickett, who announced his engagement to the Princeton University grad in January, then cheekily replied, “I’ll show you around,” which he capped off with a red heart emoji.
The 24-year-old quarterback knows the city quite well as he played for the University of Pittsburgh before being selected 20th overall by the Steelers in this year’s NFL Draft.
One of the three quarterbacks on the Steelers’ 53-man roster, Pickett has impressed throughout the preseason, throwing for 261 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions in three games. He’s competing against veterans Mason Rudolph and Mitch Trubisky for the starting job.
During his preseason outings, Pickett has been supported by Paternoster, who has watched the games alongside some of the significant others of Steelers players.
Last month, Paternoster spent time with newlywed Dani Watt, who wed Pittsburgh linebacker T.J. Watt in Mexico in July.
“Here we goooo,” Paternoster wrote on Instagram in August.
The Steelers open the season on Sunday, Sept. 11, against the Bengals in Cincinnati.
