This woman goes by Chloe but her birth certificate says otherwise.
A woman has revealed that her dad misspelled her name on her birth documents and it’s impacted her life since day one.
In response to a user on TikTok who asked how to say her name, Chole — allegedly pronounced as KLO-EE — posted a clip on TikTok to explain how she got it.
A commenter asked the user: “No f–king way your name is ‘Chole’.”
“Yes way my name is C-hole, coal, chole — however you want to pronounce it,” she said.
She continued, “It’s actually, like, the second most common misspelling at the hospital.”
“My dad spelt it wrong on the birth certificate, and it never got updated,” she said.
Others commented their shock at Chole’s explanation and even shared a similar experience.
“Omg girl my dad misspelled Chloe as Chole on my birth certificate too 😂😂😂,” someone wrote.
Another added, “I will NEVER understand how people misspell Chloe when you clearly pronounce the l before the o, drove me mad all my life.”
One user, correctly named “Chloe,” even scribed, “Literally everyone misspells it as chole! as a fellow chloe it has always driven me nuts.”
“My names chloe and loads of people spell my name chole,” another said.

“While some names will always be firm favorites and are everlasting, there are certain names you wouldn’t expect people to fall out of love with, but that is the nature of choosing baby names,” they said.
