New Zealand has recorded 69 new COVID-19 infections and nine further cases of the Omicron variant in international arrivals.
The total number of Omicron cases is 22.
All of these remain in managed isolation, and one case has been released after recovering.
There are currently 62 people in hospital, with seven in ICU.
Experts say authorities are monitoring the situation in New South Wales to determine New Zealand’s modelling.
