Olivia Newton-John admitted she never found “peace” following the shocking disappearance of her Patrick McDermott.

The “Grease” star. passed away on Monday at the age of 73 after waging a high-profile, 30-year battle against breast cancer.

Her one-time lover, cameraman McDermott, infamously vanished without a trace during a fishing trip on June 30, 2005 off the California coast.

The pair dated on and off for nine years after her divorce from Matt Lattanzi in 1995.

“I don’t think I will ever really be at peace with it,” the Aussie native admitted to Australian Women’s Weekly magazine in 2009, years after the cameraman’s disappearance. “I think there will always be a question mark.”

The “Physical” singer noted in a 2016 “60 Minutes” interview that she had “let go” of the past, however, she wondered what really happened the night of his leave.

“He was lost at sea, and nobody really knows what happened,” she said at the time.

“It’s human to wonder. Because whenever you go through difficult times, there’s always those concerns,” Newton-John explained about not getting the closure she needed.

She continued: “Those are the things in life you have to accept and let go. Of course questions always come up and that’s human. But you know, I live on.”

Conspiracy theorists have believed that McDermott could have faked his own death in order to escape debts he collected over the years. He allegedly resurfaced in Mexico in 2010.

A Coast Guard investigation revealed at the time that the gaffer had likely drowned and he has been presumed dead ever since.

Newton-John went on to wed John Easterling, whom she tied the knot with in 2008. They were married until her death.

The tragic news of the musician’s death was announced on her official Facebook page, reading: “Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer. Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with plant medicine continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, dedicated to researching plant medicine and cancer.”

Her cancer returned in 2017 and had progressed to her lower back. She was first diagnosed with breast cancer back in 1992, at the age of 43
