Lawyers for Prince Andrew are attempting to have his sexual abuse case thrown out of court by filing a motion challenging the residency status of his accuser.
They say Virginia Giuffre is not a United States citizen, so the New York court does not have jurisdiction over the case.
The motion says although she claims to live in Colorado, there is evidence she has spent most of the last 19 years in Australia.
Ms Giuffre claims the prince sexually abused her on multiple occasions when she was 17 – an allegation the Duke of York denies.
