Princess Anne is coming out on top as the hardest working member of the Firm.

The Princess Royal, 73, took on the most engagements over any other person of the Windsor clan in 2023.

According to the Telegraph, the Court Circular calculated that Anne attended 457 engagements this year.

The Court Circular is the official record for counting the royal engagements that each member undertakes, going back to 1997.

Her brother, King Charles III, came in second place on the list with 425 events attended.

The monarch, 75, was in the same spot behind Anne last year, as well.

Royal biographer Dickie Arbiter shed some light on Anne’s work ethic.

“She just gets on with it, often carrying out multiple engagements in one day,” he recently told the Telegraph. “Of course, much of what the king does is behind the scenes, in meetings and going through his red boxes, which doesn’t warrant a mention in the Court Circular.”

Anne scheduled between 12 and 14 engagements on average a week this year, while Prince William and Kate Middleton have been seen out and about in public only once or twice a week.

Prince Edward landed third in the ranking, coming in hot with 297 engagements.

Queen Camilla came in close behind with 233, and Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, completed 219.

The Prince of Wales, 41, and the late Queen Elizabeth’s cousin Prince Richard, the Duke of Gloucester, tied for sixth place with 172 outings.

Middleton, also 41, raked in 128 events while Richard’s wife Birgitte, rounded out the list with 69 engagements.

Not included in the catalogue was Prince Andrew, as well as Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle.

The trio are no longer working royals as the Duke of York, 63, was stripped of his royal and military titles by Queen Elizabeth in 2022 due to his association with deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex opted to take a step back as senior members of the royal family in 2020 and they subsequently moved to Montecito, Calif.

The “Suits” star, 42, and the Invictus Games founder, 39, tied the knot in 2018 after two years of dating.

Before the couple departed from the Firm, Markle took on 179 events.

Even Anne believed that the former actress would have a “short shelf-life” in the royal family.

Expert Neil Sean gave some insight into the relationship between the Princess Royal and Markle, saying that when the two women first met, “Anne gave very sage advice to the new royal.”

“This senior royal takes no nonsense, much like her father the late Duke of Edinburgh,” Sean said in a recent video on his YouTube channel.

“She [Anne] does endless amounts of engagements. She turns up, does the job and does not seek the limelight,” Sean explained.

He continued: “Princess Anne reiterated this mantra, she pointed out that it wasn’t a working monarchy, it was a job: You turn up on time, you do your research and do the duty.”
