Grammy Award-winning rapper Lil Baby was arrested on the Las Vegas Strip after cops accused him of carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.

The 29-year-old rapper, whose real name is Dominique Jones, was taken into custody early Monday and booked in Clark County Detention Center on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.

He had been in town performing at a celeb-packed birthday party Sunday for Los Angeles Clippers star James Harden, clips shared on social media show.

The “Yes Indeed” singer has not been formally charged with the crime, a felony in Nevada. He was released from custody after posting $5,000 bail, according to TMZ. He is due back in court on Oct. 1.

Lil Baby’s attorneys said that he has a valid permit to carry a concealed weapon — but in Georgia, not Nevada.

“Dominique Jones has a valid Georgia Carrying a Concealed Weapon (CCW) Permit,” attorneys Drew Findling and David Chesnoff said in a statement. “On his behalf, we are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding his arrest in Las Vegas.”

CCW permits from Georgia are not recognized in Nevada, according to Georgia’s Department of Public Safety.

Lil Baby and singer Chris Brown performed for guests attending the 35-year-old’s party, which included Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant and rapper Travis Scott, according to Athlon Sports.

It’s not the first time the Billboard-charting rapper faced legal troubles. In 2021, he was detained while in France for Paris Fashion Week after being cited for allegedly “transporting drugs,” though he was released soon after and only had to pay a fine, according to Billboard.

He was also arrested in 2019 for reckless driving in Atlanta, according to the Independent.

Videos of that arrest shared on social media showed the then-24-year-old rapper lying facedown on the street while being put in handcuffs by a cop, according to the outlet. He was later released on bond.
