The first season of Hulu’s “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” ends in a shocking cliffhanger.

Mayci Neeley gets to the bottom of the rumor that Taylor Frankie Paul’s boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, cheated on her early in their relationship by calling Jenna, the woman who was allegedly involved with Dakota.

Neeley, who already talked to Paul and Mortensen about the rumor, says her phone call to Jenna “could ruin people’s lives.”

When Jenna answers, she promises Neeley she’ll tell her “everything” about her alleged fling with Mortensen — and then the season ends.

The cast of the show, including Paul, reacted to Neeley and Jenna’s phone call in exclusive interviews with The Post.

Paul, who gives birth to her and Mortensen’s first child together in the finale, told The Post she was aware of the phone call.

“To be honest, I wasn’t worried about it,” she said. “I’d like to know the details of what happened and whatnot. That’s gonna create drama in our real lives. If we had a Season 2 and she [Jenna] was brought in, that’s a very triggering person to me. It could be very nerve-wracking.”

Paul admitted she’s “curious” about the truth of the rumors, though.

“I want to know everything that happened with her and him at the time. I had no issues with it, but Dakota he’d give you a different answer,” she said.

The mom of three did, however, note that “the timing” of Neeley’s phone call was “hard.”

Neeley was very coy when asked about what went down in her chat with Jenna.

“I don’t want to give too much away and spoil anything, but you guys will have to stay tuned for Season 2 because you’ll be able to see everything,” she said.

Jessi Ngatikaura

Jessi Ngatikaura told The Post she believes Neeley called Jenna “out of good will,” and not to make good TV.

“I will say Mayci is a loyal friend, and I think she really truly was trying to have Taylor’s back in that situation,” she said. “I think she’s had some opinions about Taylor and Dakota’s relationship and I think she was trying to get to the bottom of things to help Taylor see clearly. Mayci is a good friend.”

Like Paul, Ngatikaura acknowledged that the timing of the phone call “was rough.”

Demi Engemann

Demi Engemann revealed that she knows Jenna “pretty well” personally.

“I went to high school with her. It sucks because I love Jenna, I love Taylor, I love Dakota, and it’s such an unfortunate situation,” said Engemann.

“It’ll be so interesting to see how that plays out,” she went on. “I don’t even know what to expect. I just hope they all come out okay, honestly.”

Engemann also defended Neeley’s decision to call Jenna.

“Mayci’s my girl, I freaking love her. I feel like she moves with the best of intentions,” she said. “She’s extremely protective specifically with Taylor. I think she’s gone through similar things as they’ve gone through in their relationship, and I think she’s super protective of her because of that.”

“And so I can’t speak for Mayci, but from my perspective and my relationship with her I think she has the best intentions.”

Layla Taylor

Layla Taylor told The Post she doesn’t want the drama from the final moments of the finale to harm Paul and Mortensen’s relationship.

“It’s hard too because it was such a situation that happened a few years ago before they had their baby, before everything. So I’m just hoping that whatever comes out of it is positive and that it doesn’t cause any issues now for something that happened a few years back,” Taylor said.

She added: “I think she just wants the best for Taylor. I don’t think she was going into it for TV drama, I genuinely think she genuinely wanted Taylor’s intentions at heart.”

“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” is streaming on Hulu.
