Six children have been injured after a bouncy castle was blown away by strong gusts of wind in China.

The dramatic incident occurred Saturday in Xianning and was captured on video by an eyewitness.

Shocking footage — obtained by Newsflare — shows the inflatable structure set up in an open area, making it extra susceptible to the elements.

The clip commences with the bouncy castle slowly being raised into the air before it starts to turn onto its side.

Stunned parents are seen chasing after the structure, trying in vain to pin it back down to the ground.

However, a strong gust of wind completely pushes the castle onto its side as it violently spins around in circles.

One woman was knocked to the ground by the force of the inflatable object as she tried to reach the trapped children. The youngsters could be heard screaming while they were spun around inside.

The castle eventually came to a standstill and collapsed in on itself. The injured children were all taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

According to Newsflare, the bouncy castle was operated by local villagers without professional guidance, approval and procedures of relevant departments. An investigation is now underway.

The incident comes after a bouncy castle tragedy in Tasmania, Australia, which occurred at an elementary school last Thursday.

The six children trapped inside were heard screaming as they were thrown about. They were all taken to hospital and treated for their injuries.

Six children were killed after the castle blew 33 feet into the air after becoming untethered from its foundations. Three other kids were hospitalized in critical condition.

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison called the incident “shattering” and “unthinkably heartbreaking.”

“Young children on a fun day out, together with their families and it turns to such a horrific tragedy, at this time of year, it just breaks your heart,” he said.

The incident comes less than a week after six children in Australia were killed in a bouncy castle tragedy. The incident occurred at Hillcrest Primary School in the state of Tasmania.

Meanwhile, in 2019, a 9-year-old American girl died after a bouncy castle she was playing in blew into power lines.

Elizabeth Hammond was one of three children playing in the castle in Reno, Nevada, when it was thrown about 10 feet into the air.

Deputies and firefighters managed to rescue the two other children. Hammond was rushed to the hospital but later died.
