The “Stephen vs. Sabrina” showdown lived up to its billing.
In the end, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry squeaked out a 29-26 victory over the New York Liberty’s Sabrina Ionescu during the showdown on Saturday night’s NBA All-Star Weekend event in Indianapolis.
Curry won the WWE-style wrestling belt for the victory.
Both players received $25,000 each for their respective charities.
Curry was trailing early in his round, but finished strong to capture the title.
Ionescu’s 26 points tied some of the higher marks from the other NBA players in the 3-point shooting contest before her showdown with Curry.
