The song “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” does have a line in it that goes, “I don’t care if I ever come back.”

For one fan during Monday night’s subway series game at Yankee Stadium, he took that line a little too literally after he bolted onto the field.

Moments after Andrew Benintendi RBI single to right field in the bottom of the 7th inning to take a 3-2 lead over the Mets, an over-excited fan jumped the wall and tried running around the area.

He was soon leveled by security and escorted off the field.

During the broadcast, Michael Kay can be heard saying a fan was “Promptly removed,” with a heavy emphasis on “Promptly,” as other fans can be heard going wild after he was tackled to the ground by security.

For entering the field of play, this fan could face a criminal trespassing charge, a night in jail, and a lifetime ban from Yankee Stadium.

Worst of all, he wasn’t even shown on the broadcast.
