Cue DJ Khalid’s “All I Do Is Win.” Let’s talk about luck and lotteries folk.

History was made in California when a winning ticket for the record breaking $2.04 billion Powerball lottery jackpot was sold at gas station in Los Angeles County. The winner matched all six numbers, a win with the slim odds of 1 in 292.2 million.

For our part, America has always celebrated the lottery as a way to fund civic projects like war, political cover ups and road paving. Founding father Thomas Jefferson espoused of lotteries, “Far from being immoral, they are indispensable to the existence of man.” But that redhead was also a slave holding pedophile, making his moral ground shakier than a drunk’s right hand at midmorning.

I digress.

While the name and zodiac sign of the ticket holder have yet to be released, our money (which is far, far less than theirs) says they have a prominent planetary placement in one of the following signs. Read on to learn more about the zodiac signs most likely to win and may luck find you and riches of every kind await you.

SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 21)

Luck be an archer, ruled by gift bestowing, cup filling, dice throwing, more is more planet Jupiter there is a natural ease and abundance to the Sagittarius disposition. Sag folk are optimism incarnate and as such are unafraid to bet big and risk it all. Their boldness is regularly rewarded with boons from the lotto gods and narrow escapes from dire straits. The wonderful thing about these windfalls is that this fire sign loves to share and squander, spreading the wealth in the form of racing ponies, airline tickets, picking up the tab for the entire bar and putting dollar bills in g-strings and coffee cups. Fun fact, Shirley Jackson that wrote the haunting short story, “The Lottery,” was herself an archer.

CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 19)

Luck comes late to Capricorns as they often endure difficult childhoods full of hard knocks, institutional lighting, oppressive overlords, no toys, punishing standards and not enough vitamins. Yet, their suffering breeds strategy and a keen eye for observation and weakness/opportunity. The most industrious of earth signs, sea goats learn to make their own luck and to stretch and save their winnings, ensuring any prosperity they find is given ample room to proliferate. This means lying about winning the lottery, keeping coupons in their imported leather wallets, deceiving the IRS and never taking a vacation.

PISCES (February 19 – March 20)

Back before dream daddy Neptune was discovered and deemed the ruling planet of Pisces, the people of the fish were lorded over by lucky Jupiter. At their most clear, Pisces folk border on the clairvoyant. If they can resist altered states and the interference of emotion, (off the bottle and through the tears) no sign is more prime to receive psychic guidance and divine downloads This messaging can take the form of ghost whispers, lucid dreams, coffee grounds and even winning numbers curved out of the pubic hair in their bathtubs.
